Wedding Photography FAQ

Do you shoot on Digital or Film?

I shoot using a professional digital camera which will produce the same or better quality than film.

Not only is the quality superb but it gives great flexibility and allows me to shoot in mixed lighting conditions.

It’s a myth that film is somehow more ‘artistic’ than digital.

How far will you travel for a wedding?

I will travel anywhere to shoot your wedding. I’ve shot all over Ireland and far beyond.

If I book, will you be the photographer at my wedding?

Yes. I’m a one man operation and I’m totally dedicated to your wedding. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to take pictures on my behalf.

Is the work that I am seeing all yours and only yours or is it a selection of work from more than one photographer?

All the work you see on this site is mine.

Can I see some complete weddings?

You can indeed. I have several complete wedding books to browse you on the web.

Click here to see the selection available.

How many photos do you take at an average wedding?

There is no limit to the number of photographs I take – I will take as many pictures as there are opportunities. The quantity might depend on the size of your wedding, the location or the weather. Usually I will take 1000 shots upwards. The selection that I provide you is the best of that selection and this number usually varies between 300-500 shots.

Do we get a disc of our photographs to create our own prints?

Yes. You will be given a DVD (CD’s can be arranged if you don’t have a DVD player) with all high res images from your day. These images can be printed at practically any size.

Can I see a demo of your wedding books?

I have a couple of high resolution videos on my site (click here to view) that show the books in as much detail as possible.

However, I also have some demo books should you wish to see them in the flesh.

How do we book you?

Very simple, drop me an email or give me a call. If I’m available on your date then I can take your booking. All dates are booked on a first come first served basis.

Do you require a deposit and when is the balance due?

To secure booking a deposit is necessary. The deposit is a 3rd of the total cost of your chosen package.

If the wedding overruns will there be any extra charges?

No.

Are there any other charges on top of the quoted price?

No. I don’t charge for fuel or hotel costs.

What time do you start shooting on a wedding day?

If you are opting for the full day package then I start about an hour and half before the ceremony start time. If you require an earlier start time then just let me know and we can arrange it.

For the half day packages I will start shooting at the church to capture arrival of guests.

What time do you finish at?

Again, if you are opting for a full day package then I usually finish about 4 or 5 songs after the first dance.

With the half day package I will finish as guests are called for the meal. This is usually around 6pm or the meal time given to you by your reception venue.

How long after the wedding do we have to wait to see our wedding photographs?

Usually by the time you return from your honeymoon I will have a slideshow ready to go online. However, in the summer months this process may take a bit longer as these are typically very busy periods.

Is it possible to get additional wedding books?

Absolutely. You can order as many books as you want.

Payment methods?

The preferred methods are cash or cheque. At present I don’t take credit or lasercard payments.
