As I lay in bed yesterday morning woken by the rain spluttering off my window ledge and with a wedding to shoot in a few hours, one thing and one thing only went through my head – “Just why on earth did I spoof about how few wet weddings I’ve shot?” (see previous post for proof of the spoof). The wedding would be just outside Castlbar with the reception in the Mulranny Park Hotel. That would be a good 3 and half hour drive – plenty of time for the weather to sort itself out. And it did just that!
I couldn’t have asked for better weather. Absolutely gorgeous.

A big congrats to Nicola and Philip and a massive thank you for being just so super on the day.
Oh and, thanks weather! Your’re brilliant!
Post update – Mar 22nd
Sometimes, when I’m finished taking pictures for the night I’ll switch the camera to video mode and try and get some footage of people enjoying themselves. My video skills aren’t great and having to constantly manual focus when on the move can be tricky, especially when your trying to dodge arms and legs flailing all over the place, but hopefully it captures the moment and gives everyone involved a good laugh.
Nicola and Philip’s wedding was no difference. It wasn’t long before the floor was filled and it was only a matter of time before everyone did the conga. Enjoy.
If you double click on the video above you’ll be taken into youtube where you can watch in full 1080p HD!
