Sunday Lunch

On Sunday just past, my girlfriend and I went into town for lunch. We went to Coppinger Row, which if you haven’t been is really worth a visit. It reminds of me Jamie Oliver’s place in Brighton. Stylish and cool, friendly staff and best of all, good food.

On our way there we walked up Grafton Street and we came across one of the oddest busking sights I’ve ever saw. A little man tap dancing. Now I know that doesn’t sound odd but you’ll have to trust me. It was more his getup and the way he danced that made me stop and watch. He had coins and buttons sewn into his shoes, had a strange pair of mittens on with more coins and button sewn into them and he’d just just shuffle back and forth on this tiny circular dance floor and make little clinking noises with his hands. People would stop and watch for a moment, their faces puzzled by what they were seeing and then they’d slowly snap back to reality and walk away. I really can’t quite explain how odd it was to watch but I liked it.

Oh, and does anyone know anything about the mans face that protrudes from the wall on Coppinger Row? I don’t recall ever seeing it before…
