Sneak Peek – Maeve and Dave

I’ve just returned home and finished transferring my memory cards to the computer in preparation for tomorrows wedding.
As always, I take a very quick look through the images from the day – mainly to check that I’ve offloaded the cards properly. Sometimes though, if I feel I’ve taken something a bit different that day then I usually can’t wait to see how it turned out.
Today’s wedding was one of those one were the bride and groom, in this case Maeve and Dave (isn’t that handy..) were up for anything. They told me to bring the moustaches (see previous posts) and would be up for any new suggestions. When we arrived at the Mount Falcon, which by the way is utterly stunning, I saw that there was a tennis court in the ground. I inquired at reception if they had any raquets, the older and more bashed up the better. Out came two childrens raquets. Perfect.
“Maeve and Dave. Tennis?” – Sure!

After a few tennis shots I got to play chauffer by driving them to the beach. Maeve’s favourite beach is Inishcrone and rather than drag their mate who was playing chauffer, away from the free champagne I said I’d take them. It was certainly different having a bride and groom in the back of the car but we had a great laugh and it was nice to get to know them that bit more. I tell you what, ‘David McClelland, the chauffer photographer’ has a ring to it…
So, while we’re on the topic of the beach it would be rude not to share a few shots.

Maeve and Dave – it was an absolute pleasure to be your driver, sports coach, hair assistant (Maeve only), handbag locator (still just Maeve..) and last but hopefully not least, photographer.

Dave, we can’t thank you enough for the wonderful way you blended into our wedding day, offering advice and assistance at every turn, and capturing the essence of us and our wedding so beautifully. I want to frame every single shot here; I think they’re all absolutely stunning and we can’t wait to see the rest! Your talents are exceptional and your driving’s not bad either
