Sneak Peek – Jennie and John

Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting the gorgeous wedding of Jennie and John. This is the same John who is listed in the testimonials in my buy prints page. No pressure then..

I met them for the first time a few months back and immediately had a good feeling about them. Maybe it’s that Ulster Scots link or the fact that one of my sisters lives in Scotland and now speaks with a similar accent to Jennie, who is from Kildare but has that lovely Scottish lilt in her voice. Either way, I knew they’d be fun to photograph as they were so relaxed and down to earth.

I wasn’t wrong, they were super. Jennie is quite the looker with a gorgeous smile which she seemed to be wearing all day and John is tall handsome strapping Scotsman. Together they make a great couple and made my job very easy indeed.

As the guests were mainly of either Irish or Scottish decent Jennie and John has left little books on the the dinning tables. When I spotted them I snuck a couple in my bag for the photos. We laughed anyway…

Oh… and a massive thank you to John for his lovely mention of me in his speech. I have to say, it’s very, very rare that the photographer gets mentioned in speeches asthey’re usually about the family, bridal party and hotel but John gave me such glowing report and went as far as making me read out my web address – which was rather embarrassing but fun. Thanks John!
