Cindy and Dave

A few of you may remember a post I wrote a while back called ‘Fan-Tache-Tic!‘. It was from Cindy and Daves wedding in June. That day, I brought with me a handful of moustaches on sticks that I’d made the day before from black card and kebab skewers. When I returned from the wedding I blogged purely about the moustaches and posted a few photos, but that was it. I didn’t really share too much from the day itself. You can see that blog entry here.
So, I’m back and it’s time to share with you some more shots from their day. And what a cracking day they got for it too. Blue skies with the odd white fluffy cloud which would be a welcome sight to shade me from the blistering sun. It was a scorcher!
The morning zoomed by pretty quick with me spending sometime with Cindy at her folks home where inside it was all about the tea and sandwiches and outside a beautiful old E-Type Jaguar was being readied with ribbons.

Once it was ready, it was driven to pick up Dave from Tinakilly House and bring him to the church. I followed close behind with my windows down breathing in those rich fumes that make all men feel more alive.

When I returned to Cindy’s I was told to go into the back room where Cindy would be getting ready. Dave is a lucky man – She looked totally fabulous with a gorgeous and very elegant silk wedding dress. Just stunning.

She was just the image of perfect calm and happiness with a beaming smile never leaving her face. Outside the Jag had returned to pick up little Josh and Ben but something even more spectacular awaited for Cindy. Her dad had surprised her by arranging for a horse drawn cart to bring Cindy to the church. Just the perfect day for it too.
Now that’s what I call travelling in style.

I went onto the church to wait for their arrival. First up was Ben and Josh. It was a bumpy ride and Ben got out of the car rubbing his head – I’m still mystified how you bang your head on an open top car? I meant to ask him about that….

Head patted and kissed it was time to pose for cameras.
One proud father
Looking to see how the big brother does it.

Ceremony over, family shots taken and it was time to bring out the props. I snuck a moustache to Dave and waited for Cindy’s reaction
As they set off from the church it was like releasing a greyhound from the traps. They nearly took a lampost in the church grounds with them!
A beautiful long entrance to Tinakilly House makes for the perfect ‘here they come’ shot.
The Posh’s have arrived!

Once Cindy and Dave had some time to mingle and relax I took them along with bridesmaid Jenny and bestman Alan for a little stroll around the gardens – you know, just for some nice natural shots… Not posed at all….
…
Isn’t that right Dave?
“Look guys! A beautiful tree” – Dave is a natural in front of the lens.
Dave and Alan were quite the jokers and brought thier moustache’s of choise with them. Dave went for typical English gentry, while Alan opted for the handlebar style.

It was such a beautiful afternoon with everyone staying outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. The moustaches went down an absolute storm and it seemed that no matter where you looked you’d see someone posing for a camera somewhere putting on their best “I Drink your Milkshake!” face. Eventually though it was time for everyone to go inside to take their seats in the beautiful dining room.

Cindy and Dave wait patiently for their big entrance.

A few hours later and once all the food had been devoured, speeches said and cake cut, it was time to get the dancing shoes on and get on with the party! Cindy and Dave did not dissapoint!

Dave gave it plenty..

and Cindy smiled and giggled as Dave kept us entertained – but he’d soon meet his match!
For little Josh arrived on the floor and began to show us his latest moves – where on earth a 5 year old learns to Cossack dance is quite beyond me! I and everyone else for that matter was well impressed.

Dave was not going to give up without a fight!
Remember, this is the second blog from this wedding, there is load more the post back in June if you click here.
A massive, massive thank you again to Cindy and Dave for letting me blog their day – twice! It really was so much fun and they were such good sports. A photographers dream.
