Playhouse lights up Dublin’s skyline

From today and for the next couple of weeks Dublin’s tallest building has been turned into a blank canvas. Well, sort of.
100,000 LED lights have been installed onto 330 of Liberty Hall’s south and west facing sides. Each of these windows can display a different colour effectively turning the building in a giant tv screen. The idea being that the public can design animations using software downladed from the playhouse website and these then play on the side of the building. Mental.
The animations played one after the other. Some were just simple patterns while others were artistically brilliant and left you wondering how people have so much free time on their hands. Either way it was all seriously impressive. If you possibly can, go and see it in the flesh.
