A great big boat as docked up in Dublin. It’s so big they called it ‘The World’. Someone needs to tell me that that was not the first name they thought of. Surely.

It’s parked? right down at the East Link bridge just across from the new wheel at the O2. Which by the way, if you haven’t yet been, looks totally fabulous. I have to say, it’s a rather odd loaction given that you have to be half way up the wheel before you’d even begin to see the city as the view is obstructed by the O2, however, I’d say once you’re up it’s pretty impressive. It looks great on the skyline too when you approach the East Link toll from Ringsend.
One night, when it’s a little darker in the evenings I’m going to go and shoot a timelapse video. I think it’d lend itself well to something like that.
On my way back to the house I took a couple more as I got a nice view of the wheel, the O2 and the new Gibson hotel in pretty nice alignment. Click on either image to see more.

By the new – a new wedding post is coming soon. I promise.
Sorry – I’ve been away for quite some time. Well, aside from a few days in Killarney and Kinsale, I haven’t really been away anywhere – We’re at full on wedding season so it’s been a matter shooting lots of weddings and then spending the rest of the time post processing and building albums. So the blogs posts had to wait I’m afraid. But, to kick things off again I’d like to bring you a few shots from the wedding of Caoilfhionn and Colm which took place in Galway last month.
Caoilfhionn and Colm got ready just a few rooms apart from each other in the Clayton Hotel, where the reception would later be held. Caoilfhionn was in the bridal suite which was pretty impressive to say the least. Floor to ceiling windows stretched along one side of the entire suite letting in loads of light – once we figured out how to get the electronic blinds open that is
The room was a hive of activity but Caoilfhionn was the queen of calm – happily playing with her iphone while people busied themselves around her.

What’s this? Another full wedding post? Two in as many days?! Yes!
Poor Ciara arrived back from her honeymoon wondering why she didn’t get a sneak peak of her day. The truth is, that I forgot to ask as I left the wedding that evening and I always ask before I post so I thought I’ve leave her to enjoy her fabulous honeymoon and post something on her return. I’m going to more than make up for it now though with what will be a jumbo post!
Ciara and Dave got married on the 4th of June (nearly a month folks!) on a beautiful summers day. As I arrived at the house that morning there was plenty of activity with friends and family dropping in be part of the action – the kitchen table was packed with an array of sandwiches, nibbles and drinks and as for those nuts… once you start.
They had the place lovely with baloons and flowers dotted inside and outside the house.

No more sneak peaks. I promise. From now on it’s full wedding posts. Okay? You have my word. Well, not until the next time anyway.
So then, to kick things off we have the wedding of Aideen and Rob. Aideen and Rob are what I now refer to as – The ice-cream couple. A few of you may remember the ice-cream shots from a while back. I remember I couldn’t wait to get home from the wedding that evening because I was looking forward to seeing the pictures from that day so much!

I promise – this is one final sneak peek before I post a proper real wedding blog.
I’ll keep it short and sweet – this shot was taken during the first dance at Saturdays wedding of Eibhlin and Terry. Midway through the dance the band fired a canon filled with confetti which exploded all over the happy couple. It was pretty spectacular! Aside from the confetti canon they also had a bubble machine which may sound a bit naff but was actually pretty cool – the girls loved it. The band by the way were the Hughes Brothers and had also sang at Eibhlin’s parents weddings many years before! Now that’s tradition! Maybe one day I’ll shoot the wedding of Eibhlin and Terry’s kids!
