Jennifer and John

Brrrrrrr. It’s just not letting up is it?
As we approach this weekend, it looks like I’m going to be shooting my first wedding in the snow since January. I’m all for the snow – it’s pretty and looks great for photographs - but please, just let the roads be okay. That’s all I ask.

I’ll never forget the wedding I shot on January 9th this year. I was in London for the first week of the year and due to return home on the 7th. But with the big chill I almost never made it back. Airports got closed down and I remember frantically trying to search for other photographers in Ireland who may have been around to shoot the wedding for me had I not been able to get home in time. I blogged about the whole palava here.

Luckily I made it and I was so glad I did as it was a gorgeous wedding to photograph. The ceremony was in Trinity Chapel and the reception was held in the Guinness Storehouse. And with all the snow I knew both locations would be brilliant.

Jennifer looked stunning in her little dress and cute ribbon laced shoes and John looked pretty smart too! Not only did they both look the part but they were so brilliant on the day. You can imagine that on a cold day like that, the last thing you’d want to do is take a walk in the snow, especially in a dress, but Jennifer and John were so patient and easy to photograph, smiling their way though the whole day. I even got a ride in the car with them when we arrived at the Guinness Storehouse :)

They both pour a pretty mean pint too!
