WOW. Well last night at The Olympia was pretty special. I was there to photograph Lianne La Havas who I first came across when watching Jools Holland’s Hootenanny on New Year just past. Her performance was spectacular (I’ve put it at the bottom of the post) and as soon as I saw tickets for her Olympia gig on sale I snapped them up and put my name down to photograph it for MCD just for good measure.
The crowd were so responsive to her, singing along whenever they could – giving her absolute silence when the softer more intimate songs were played and Lianne was lapping it up and her that huge smile of hers was impossible to hide saying to the crowd at one point – “Well I didn’t think it was possible but Dublin you have made me blush”.
She saved “one of her favourites” and no doubt the crowd’s favourite for the end and I made a sound recording for you all to listen to as you browse through the shots.
Lianne, come back to Dublin soon – you know it’ll be a sell out. Amazing.

Stunning photos. They really capture her charisma and beauty. I saw her perform in Seattle last night and found myself completely captivated by her stage presence. Thank you!
