Lego Bridge

I took myself back down to the Samuel Beckett bridge last night just after midnight to try and get get a couple of shots I’ve been asked to take for commission purposes. More details on that at a later date. Aside from trying to get the images I was briefed on I thought I’d see if there was anything else that caught my eye that I hadn’t already taken (frequent visitors to the site will know that I’ve already taken quite a few of this bridge in the past).

I’m not sure what everyone else does but when I’m looking for interesting angles what I tend to do is walk around holding the camera to my eye to see how everything looks through the lens. I attached the 12-24mm wide angle and began to twist the lens and turn the camera as I walked. When I got to the south side of the bridge, crouched down and looked straight up the support cables I saw something I really liked. The 3 cables look like their coming out of a big block of lego and the tip of the bridge appears to be curving in the opposite to it’s normal direction. Quite strange.

If you click here or on the image below you’ll be taken to a few other shots from the night.
