Today I came across some photos that just blew my mind. I dunno, maybe I’ve been living in a cave but I really hadn’t seen anything like it before – not to this quality anyway. What I came across was photos that had a small amount of movement in them. Click here to see what I mean. Impressive eh! Oh and make sure you scrolled down to the endless pouring chocolate! Amazing!
So, I thought I’d have a crack at making one of these myself. I needed to think of a subject. Endless pouring chocolate was high on the list but sure that had already been done and I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have made as good a job as the you’ve hopfully already seen. So I took the camera out to the balcony and waited for the dart to pass it’s usual spot. I thought the little windows would light up nicely. When I saw it approach I just fired off about a hundred shots in a row. Once done I cropped and colour tweaked in Lighroom before bringing them into GIF Quick Maker to animate them.
Here’s the results.
Not amazing by any stretch but it’s a start. I need to figure out why the quality of the sky is so rubbish. I know GIF’s are pretty poor quality but I’d have hoped to get something a little nicer. Must work on that.

I think if you remove the two lights that come on and off on the bottom left it would be more realistic! Other than that ..really good!!

Thanks Jim. Once I saw these I knew I had to give it a blast. Next stop is to try something at a wedding. Think it could be really interesting.

Great stuff Dave!..I can only imagine the effort that went into this….all your stuff is very impressive only sorry I got married 5 years ago and didn’t have you taking the photos!
