Do you ever become so overawed with sheer awesomeness that you don’t know how to explain it to people? Well, this is what I am currently faced with.
This is the wedding of Donna and Damian and they, well they are awesome. They got married in The Millhouse in Slane, twice in the one day and that folks, that is awesome. They had a scorcher of a day and in 2012, that’s awesome. They had the coolest folk join them who were all awesome and lets not forget the amazing staff at The Millhouse who are also awesome. I could go on. Okay I will. Damian wore converse runners with his suit and any man that can carry this off is awesome. Donna had black killer heels with white stars which is so different it can only be awesome. They had the most amazing cake table which they (Donna and Damian) served personally to their guests after the most awesome of sunsets! Double Awesome! They chilled all day and did the photoshoot with heir bridesmaids and groomsmen after dinner which left me more time to shoot candidly and in the background – Awesome. I have to mention the two ceremonies again don’t I? So, the first was the legal bit with just two witnesses. It was so sweet and intimate that I nearly blubbed. That’s so ridiculous it’s awesome. The second ceremony was later in the afternoon, outside, under trees to shade us from the blistering sun and again it was sweet, still intimate and I nearly blubbed again. I need to man up. Too many awesomes. Damian and Donna are artsy crafts’y type folk who love a bit of bunting and some chalkboard paint. With more details than you could shake a leg at it they made everything look awesome. To knock it all off they had a band which knew how to fill the floor in an instant to allow me to get plenty of dance shots and with some guys wearing ties around heir heads by the 3rd song you knew they were doing something awesome. This day had it all and if I had to shoot this wedding over and over again every single week it would be nothing but awesome.

I really don’t want to miss out on a single person who made this day what it was so I asked Donna and Damian to provide me with some vendor details and I’ve put them at the very bottom of this post so please check them out as they all played their part in making this a day to remember. Can I just add two massive shoutouts to Karyn’s Cupcakes who made the fab cupcakes and top tier cake (and was also bridesmaid!) and The Sugar & Spice Pantry who made all of the other cakes that were on the sweet table and is run by the groomsman’s fiancé Abi. Check them out!

Massive, massive thank you to Donna and Damian. I utterly love everything about your day and for me it’s how a wedding should be. Intimate, full of your nearest and dearest and utterly relaxed. Thank you for letting me just do my thing and allowing to share your day. I cannot wait to meet up with you again at some point soon.
