Away from all the chaos

On the morning of a wedding, the house of the bride can be a manic place to be. More often than not the place will be packed with family and friends, the kitchen table will be filled with sarnies or left over fry-ups, the ladies of the house will have one thing on their minds – makeup. The men of the house will be busy trying to tie ribbons to cars or figuring out just how on earth those button holes work. Someone is always off fetching something – “Has anyone seen the scissors?” – “Who has the shoe polish?” – “Where on earth are the keys… they should be hanging up there, ahh.. here they are, in my pocket, all the time”. To add to this, the chaos is usually sound-tracked with some playlist on an ipod or a radio whose volume setting has been stuck at 11. Yes, it can be mental.
So then, during all of this what do the kids of the house do?

Find a space in the house – any space at all, and play with their Nintendo.

Oh.. and it’s not just the boys. The girls like to play too.
