Monthly Archive for January, 2009

New Camera. New Pictures.

After lots and lots of reading, chin stroking and visits to numerous camera shops for a feel and a fiddle I finally stumped up the cash and got myself a new camera. No, not a fancy new SLR but a fancy new compact camera. I opted for the Panasonic DMC-LX3.

I should have known I’d opt for this one in the end as this camera hand my name all over it – well, my initails.

Anyway – I’ve been playing around with it since early January and think it’s time to post a some results.

Oh, and I absolutely love it!

Books Galore!

I haven’t updated my site in quite some time, since last year to be precise (the old jokes are usually the best but that one is exempt). I therefore thought I should start the new year with a bit of a bang by bringing a decent update to the site.

So, I have created a new section called Complete Books. You’ll see it up there between News and Weddings. With this new section I want to be able to share with you a wide selection of complete wedding books to browse though. It should give you a good indication into how much is covered on a typical wedding day shoot.

I’ve also included a little video that shows me looking through Richard and Aisling’s wedding book. I show it from all angles before quickly browsing through the book.

I’ll be adding more books in the coming weeks.

On a final note, I’d like to wish you all very happy new year and big thank you to everyone who has contacted me and met with me in the past year. It’s been my pleasure and I look forward to more of the same in 2009.
