A Sunday Drive to Hook Head

Last Sunday, my girlfriend Dee, her brother Larry and his wife Emma took a little drive from Waterford down to the Hook Head peninsula. It’s was a gorgeous sunny afternoon and the perfect day for a drive – or to be driven.. Emma did a great job behind the wheel – okay, there was the moment a ginger cat rolled under the car but it soon found it’s feet and scrambled into the nearest field. Hardly Emma’s doing – seriously Emma, stop crying. That’s enough now.

On the way to Hook we stopped off at the gates of Loftus Hall – Apprently Ireland most haunted building. Looked pretty creepy alright. I was just in the middle of filming a little snippet on my phone when Larry (the joker) flung a ragged old hat against the front gate. I had no idea where it came from and nearly jumped out of my skin. Needless to say they thought this was hilarious. This moment has been captured for prosperity on the video at the bottom if this post.

When we arrived at Hook lighthouse it was first things first – Jam and cream scones and tea. Yummy. Afterwards,  we went for a little walk around the rocks and many, many jokes about blowholes were made.

Fun times.

I just had the one lens with me so didn’t take much but here are a few. Oh and don’t forget the little video at the bottom :)

Larry holds tight to Dee and Emma. Larry and Emma do the famous “put a foot up” pose. Some weirdo joins them on the final shot.
