A Cowboy Chilli – Jamie style.

Like Dee, I love to cook – I’m no natural mind you so always have my books at the ready to keep me on the straight and narrow. One of my favourite recipes has to be Jamie Olivers chilli from his Jamie’s America book. It’s a real cowboy chilli. Slow cooked so that the meat really sucks up all the lovely flavours from the spices and coffee. That’s right, coffee. Rather than adding water you add freshly brewed coffee to the pan. Let me tell you, this is like no chilli you’ve ever tasted and packs a real punch. For a little extra kick I flambé some Jack Daniels in a seperate pan just before serving and add to the chilli at the last minute. Wow. Served with lovely rice and peppered sour cream and a little coffee and you’ll be one happy camper.
